About this product

Frankincense (Olibanum, or Luban) is tapped from the hardy Boswellia Papyrifera tree by slashing the bark and letting the aromatic resin harden into irregular greenish-yellow nodules. Sudan is one of the world's principal sources of traded olibanum.

We hand-sort the resin into clean, bark-free grades — Nagawa (over 10mm), Grade 1 (5–10mm), Grade 2 (2.5–5mm), Grade 3 (under 2.5mm), and Grade 4 (mixed with bark) — for perfumery, aromatherapy, soap, skincare, and steam-distilled essential oils. Packed and shipped to export standard from Port Sudan.
