Pigeon pea (Cajanus Cajan) is a perennial legume that serves as both a high-protein food crop and a soil-restoring cover crop. In Sudan it is known as Adasia or Lubia; across South Asia the split form is sold as toor dal.
We collect the peas unshelled directly from farmers so the kernels reach the cleaning line fresh, then clean and grade them for export as whole seed, with splitting and milling available on request. Pigeon pea is high in protein and carries the essential amino acids methionine, lysine, and tryptophan, which makes it a natural partner to cereal-based diets.
