Alexandrian senna (Cassia Angustifolia, also classified as Senna Alexandrina) is indigenous to Sudan and Sinai, and is one of the two senna species officially recognised in international pharmacopoeias. The plant carries small yellow flowers and broadly oblong pods some 5–8cm long, which ripen from green to a greenish-brown.
We supply pure raw sun-dried leaves and sun-dried pods from recent harvests, with mechanical grinding into powder available on request. The material is hydraulically pressed into bales for shipment and is used in pharmaceutical manufacturing, herbal teas, and natural supplement production.
